Cal State Fullerton sophomore Erik Gonzalez placed fourth in the men's 8-kilometer race in 24:39.4 at the Big West Conference Championships at the Ag-Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. Gonzalez helped the Titans place five scorers in the top 20 to finish second to four-time reigning champion Cal Poly by a 44-53 margin. Cal State Fullerton equaled the best conference finish in program history, also taking second in 1993.
